Intro to Yoga Series

This series of 6 classes is perfect for the very beginner, those who have been away from yoga for a while, or anyone who wants to spend more time working on correct alignment or gaining a better understanding of yoga. Each week you will get a handout summarizing the focus of that weeks class including: Two featured asana (postures), movement sequences, pranayama (breathwork), and key vocabulary. Each class builds upon the previous. This course is a safe, fun workshop, where we spend time with each person to find the variation of the pose that is most effective for them.

Unnata Aerial Yoga takes a traditional yoga class and elevates the experience! Asanas (postures) are practiced with focus on breath, alignment, and meditation as we work with gravity to experience muscle release, body alignment, and greater strength.
Aerial Yoga uses a fabric hammock as a prop to enhance traditional yoga poses, deepening your experience within the pose and allowing for ease in inversions. Class sequencing moves between the mat and hammock for a deeper awareness and balanced practice.
Aerial yoga is ideally for students with some yoga experience. For comfort in the hammock, wear pants that go below the knee and tops that cover your armpits.
Class size is limited, so please register ahead of time on-line. If you have any medical issues that prevent you from inverting or back-bending (glaucoma, heart condition, spine injury, etc), please obtain your doctor's permission.

Come together for unfolding the collective consciousness of our chakras. Just as our collective consciousness is meant to work in harmony so does the energetic reality of the Chakras. Both a person as well as a chakra expresses the core energetic resonance they embody. The interconnection of the whole takes place through unity.
Balancing our chakras in the simplest form means we feel our best and our bodies are in the healthiest state. This workshop will offer you tools to incorporate in allowing your chakras to vibrate at their optimal potential.
We will explore hatha yoga, yin yoga, ascended beings, crystals, mudras, chanting, essential oils, archetypes, location and colors of the chakras. Please wear yoga clothing or something comfortable. We will learn yoga asanas specific to the chakras. The workshop will also partake in discussion and personal experiences of the various topics.

Start the New Year off right by flaming the fan of your 'Inner Creative Goddess!' This exciting three-part journey features breathing exercises, a short kriya (exercise set), and some fundamental belly dance moves. Plus, take home the personalized "New Year's vision souvenir" that you created and some basic belly dance choreography to play with. Get ready to let your inner Goddess shine! *(No prior yoga or belly dance experience required.)
