Intro to Yoga Series: The Fundamentals of Yoga Asana Mondays: August 20th - Oct 1 (no class on Labor Day) 6 - 7:15pm
This 6-week beginner series introduces the fundamentals of yoga in a safe, fun and engaging learning environment. We will demystify the concepts of yoga by breaking down basic yoga pose alignments, various breathing techniques and simple meditation practices. This series is taught in a sequential manner to help students build confidence, strength and flexibility to prepare them for regular group yoga classes. There will be weekly handouts provided each week with a recommended home practice. * Pre-registration is required for the session. * Space is reserved for pre-registered students only- no drop ins. * Class size is limited to 12 students * There are no substitutions or make up classes. No experience needed. Just wear comfortable clothes, layers are recommended as the temperature may vary during your practice. You may bring a yoga mat if you have one; although you are welcome to use our studio mats.
Who is this class for? People brand new to yoga, or those who may have had some exposure but would like to start from the beginning and learn more about the basics, progressing their practice each week
