Treetop news...

Good Morning!

It has been a while since you've heard from me.  Last week we were out of town for a very quiet Thanksgiving (hope yours was wonderful); this week, every time I wanted to sit down and get this email out, I seemed frozen, not sure what to write about.  You see, after a fun Tuesday morning yoga class ~ and an inspiring, extended chat with one of the attendees, I came downstairs (in an incredibly "happy, happy" mood) to a message from Jim to call him as soon as I could;  he had received news that the 19 year old son of a friend of ours had taken his life on Monday;~ the first anniversary of his best friend's death from a weight lifting accident.  From pure joy to sadness and disbelief in a split second; the start of a roller coaster ride that continues today.  All the plans I had for Tuesday went out the window; I felt numb and directionless.  I certainly didn't feel inspirational.  Energetically we sent love to the whole family, including to the young man who felt this was his only solution.  Wednesday was a bit better, but still the emotions were up and down.  I cried at Woodman's trying to choose a sympathy card ~ none felt right.  Ten minutes later, I'm in the parking lot cheerfully telling the young man and woman loading the car next to me that I loved her purple car!  Having spoken so much about just being aware of your emotions, not judging them, just noticing, I really started to pay attention.  I would notice incredible moments of sadness, then feel a twinge of excitement inside thinking of an upcoming event or a loved one.  Up and down, up and down.

The really tough part came yesterday at the visitation and mass.  We got there early to pay our respects and hold a loving space for the family.  It was really tough to be there yet heartwarming as well.  We sat in the pews and watched people file forward to pay respects.  The church held such sadness, but, at the same time, such love.  There was love in the tears, the hugs and yes, the occasional laughter as a memory was shared or friends connected who haven't seen each other for a while.  There were times my breathing was deep and calming, there were times I had to remind myself to breathe.  Three hours later it was over.  We filed out and a group of us went to lunch to grieve, to laugh, to connect, to give and receive love.  In the end, that's the message I have for you today, it's about the love; all these emotional ups and downs when tragedies occur can take us on a roller coaster ride, but the cart we ride in, the harness and seat belt that surround us and keep us from falling out, is love.

This Saturday's Yoga Roulette class will be taught by me!  See you at 8:30...

Breathe & Begin Level I returns in January, at two locations!  The class will be held here at Treetop on the four Mondays of January from 6-7:15pm.  If you know someone who has been interested, but feels we are too far away from them, I will also be offering this class on Wednesday evenings at Snap Fitness in Menomonee Falls (Appleton Ave & Good Hope Rd).  More details to come on time and pricing at that location.  A gift certificate for the series would be a great incentive for someone hesitant to start...just sayin'!  $75 for the series here at Treetop.

UPCOMING EVENTS...Please RSVP to register

The Kundalini, Kirtan & Gong bath with Ram, scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed.  As soon as we have it rescheduled, we'll let you know.

Meditation with Joel Gollhardt is next Tuesday, December 10th at 7:45.  Come for yoga at 6:15, then stay for meditation! $15

My apologies to Lori Falk of the Crystalline Institute!  I neglected to add our Thursday, December 12th Angel Circle to the last email!  Our Angel Circles are wonderful evenings of connection and encouragement!  Join us and practice connecting to your angels and guides.  $25 if you pre-register (let me know you're coming); $30 at the door.

Medium, Jen Martin of The Soul Source in West Bend will be here on Thursday, December 19th from 6:30-8:30pm to Share the Holidays with Spirits!  Jen is a very gifted medium who has been here before.   What a wonderful time of year to connect with a loved one who has passed on.  She runs her group sessions very much like on the tv show "Long Island Medium" so not everyone present receives a message, but everyone can share in the joy of the eternal connections we all have. $25

The Energy Exchange will be Friday, December 20th from 7-9pm!  If you have received training in any energy modality (reiki, cranio sacral, massage, crystal healing), you are welcome to join us!  Everyone gets time on the table.  $10

There are still Energy Quartet appointments are available on Saturday, December 21st!  Appointments to start at 1pm!!  An Energy Quartet session combines a custom meditation written by Joel Gollhardt with energy work administered by me, Jim, James Patt and Joel Gollhardt.  It's powerful work and can assist you in moving through a challenging time or assist you in your own spiritual expansion!  Joel reads the meditation while James, Jim and I begin the energy work; Joel joins in on the energy work when the meditation is complete.  At the end of the session, there is time for questions or to share insights received.  The entire session lasts approximately 1 hour.  $120 for a session.

Join us for classes or upcoming events!  Check out our website Here!

Remember, the emotional roller coaster may take you up, down, sideways, upside down or in circles, but from the start to the finish, your are held safely in the arms of love.  Know that and be well.
