Fudge from the Angels

I love google. It's like heaven to have so much information available at my fingertips. But today I was reminded of how much I love the Angels even more. For those of you who've been following my fudge posts this week, you know I've been googling new recipes and trying them out over + over again, but so far they were not tasting like real fudge to me. This morning, I woke up with a recipe idea in my head and decided to give it a shot. It was different than everything I was reading, but what did I have to lose, right? The worst that could happen would be that I'd end up with more mediocre fudge. While I was stirring the pot, I got a flash that this might be the recipe that my grandmother used to make fudge when I was a kid. MAN, how I loved that fudge! I could hardly wait for Christmas to get some of my granny's fudge. I waited for my mother to wake up so I could call her. I told her the recipe that was in my head when I woke up at 4am this morning and SURE ENOUGH! It was the same recipe my grandmother used! I reworked it to make it vegan and SHAZAM! Awesome vegan fudge that tastes exactly like my grandma used to make it. Thank you, Granny, for channeling your fudge recipe to me! Love you and miss you SOOOOO much!!!

Love,
Deborah
