I pulled out my copy of Deepok Chopra's book "Perfect Health" last week. It is the book I recommend to new Ayurveda clients who are looking for more information and background on what Ayurveda is and how it works. Although I cover that over time with clients, some people want to move ahead and get the big picture in one large dose.
Having been several years since I read the book, I decided to re-read it again so I could answer questions that arose from my clients and remind myself what he covers in this book since he has so many.
In addition to the great overview he provides, the part that continues to amaze me and pull me forward, even though I already "know" it on one level, is his paradigm shift in thinking about what it possible. Not just healing or good health but the idea of perfect health. The idea that anything can be changed and taken to a level not previously imagined.
He gives several examples of seemingly impossible physical changes happening via research done on people with multiple personalities who literally manifest different physical conditions in different personalities. And I'm not talking small stuff that a mole. I'm talking big - like one personality having a severe scoliosis and it completely disappearing when a different personality surfaces.
The mind really is the ultimate creator of your reality.
